Add Or Change Wardens ...
This page enables you to make changes or add up to 5 wardens to the warden listing for your building.
Please fill out all the (*) Required Fields. for each of the wardens.
| ONE (1) FLOOR WARDEN: | Should be cool, calm and responsible. Used to giving orders and having them carried out. Responsible for the whole floor irrespective of man made divisions. The Floor Warden is the CAPTAIN of the Emergency team on that floor and ensures all roles and tasks are performed. |
| TWO (2) RESERVE WARDENS: | Are the eyes, ears, arms and legs of the Floor Warden and are capable of fulfilling the role of Floor Warden if the normal incumbent is absent. However their main task is searching for and gathering ALL staff and VISITORS to the Fire Exit. |
| TWO (2) STAIR WARDENS: | Are required to monitor the fire stairs and do not let anyone in or out of the fire stairs unless told to do so by the Floor Warden. May be required to be the Floor Warden if the above are absent. |
Please note that the largest tenant or section on each floor provides the Floor Warden and at least one Reserve Warden. The other positions are to be shared amongst the balance of the occupants on the floor.
The building manager should be approached if there are any doubts.
